And who better to appreciate these moments of comfort than our four-legged friend?

He shares the space with a couple of humans, a very friendly duo consisting of a guy and a girl.

Usually, he’s content sleeping in his own dog bed, right next to the humans’ bed.

But sometimes, when one of them is away for a while, he doesn’t miss the opportunity to claim the territory.

This time, it was the lady who took a bit longer than usual to return.

And as the saying goes, first come, first served. And he’s not willing to give up that little piece of paradise so easily.

Even though she set up a camera to film him, he’s not intimidated.

After all, the sports highlights are on TV, and he doesn’t want to miss any action.

No matter what she does to try to get him to move, poking, calling, or even pulling the covers, he’s determined to stay put. After all, it’s dark outside, and he needs the comforting warmth of the blankets to feel safe and cozy.

He even tries to get the other human’s attention to help him, but it seems he’s on his own in this battle of wills.

In the end, he has established his dominance over the bed and has no plans to give in anytime soon.

And why should he? He watched the game with all the excitement and is now enjoying a well-deserved rest. Meanwhile, the other human ended up settling for watching TV in the living room.

When she finally returns to reclaim her spot in bed, he expects, at the very least, some thanks – or maybe even some treats in return for keeping the bed warm.

After all, keeping the place warm and cozy is hard work!
