In a world where adversities are often seen as insurmountable obstacles, a story of resilience and unconditional love emerges, melting hearts and inspiring hope.
It is the story of Putol, a special little dog who defied all odds by learning to run and live fully with only two legs.
Born with only her front legs, Putol could have easily been left behind, a sad statistic in a world often ruthless to the weakest.
However, this little dog does not know the meaning of giving up. With her unwavering determination and a heart full of joy, she proves that true disability lies only in the lack of willingness to try.
But behind each graceful step is the loving and dedicated support of her owner, Danilo Codilego Jr.
While many doubted Putol’s future, Danilo remained steadfast in his commitment to his faithful companion’s well-being.
“They didn’t think she would live long,” Danilo shared. “I was the only one who had the courage to take care of her. We took risks because we felt compassion for her.”
Although the name “Putol” (which means “cut” in the Tagalog language of Luzon, Philippines) may seem simple, it has become a symbol of strength and overcoming.
This resilient little dog is not daunted by her unique condition; instead, she embraces each moment with contagious joy and gratitude.
Although Putol may not have her own puppies, her life is filled with love and care. She is part of a community that welcomes her and takes care of her as if she were a family member.
And as she runs through the streets alongside her four-legged friends, her message of hope and resilience echoes, reminding us that it is not our limitations that define who we are, but rather our courage to face them.
